Biography
Hongqi Yao is a cinematographer fascinated by the art of visual storytelling. He thrives in bringing together talented individuals to create cinematic masterpieces. He approaches each project with an artistic flair and a commitment to perfection. Hongqi strives to push the boundaries of storytelling and deliver an unforgettable visual experience to his audience.
He received his MFA in Cinematography from FSU. His work has been featured in various festivals and his contributions have led to films being recognized for various accomplishments. It Came from Within (2023) won the Best Student Cinematography Award at the LACA Film Festival.
