About Hongqi Yao.

I am a cinematographer fascinated by the art of visual storytelling. I am passionate about creating cinematic masterpieces and approach each project with an artistic flair and commitment to perfection. In my cinematic work, I push the boundaries of storytelling and deliver an unforgettable visual experience to my audience. Through my photography and videography projects, I aim to connect with my clients to capture all of life’s special moments.

I received my Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography from Florida State University. My work has been featured in multiple film festivals across the United States and my contributions have led to films being recognized for various accomplishments. It Came from Within (2023) won the Best Student Cinematography Award at the LACA Film Festival. 

While I am located in Tallahassee, Florida, I am willing to travel in the Southeast region to help turn your ideas into a reality!
